Radiant Skin Therapy & Techtuitive Bodywork Course Packages

Available at Your Hotel or Spa...
I will be available to book Radiant Skin Chua  Ka and Techtuitive Bodywork enhanced professional skills classes at your spa throughout 2009-2010.  The other instructors, Laura Scott and Gerald Harvey may also be available to teach Radiant Skin Chua Ka., depending on their calendar.  For the Radiant Skin Chua Ka classes of 12 students or more, I recommend including a co-instructor in the training package, as this style will be very foreign to most therapists, and extra attention is useful to convey it properly. For the Techtuitive classes, I recommend no more than 18 students in a class, in order for them to get the full benefit of my attention, though larger classes are possible, especially with a co-teacher.

Profiting from Your In-House Trainings:
As a spa director, you are no doubt concerned with making the best possible returns on your training investment.  These courses are designed to put your massage staff ahead of the crowd, and make your spa services stand out among your competitors.  Most  likely, you will want to keep these trainings reserved for your own staff, so that they alone benefit from your investment.  However, if you have a smaller spa or a smaller training budget, another option may be worth consideration.  You could host an open training; IE invite outside therapists to study along side your own people.  Charge guest  attendees whatever you deem appropriate to cover your costs, or even make a return on your initial outlay.  That way, your own staff still gets to advance their skills, and you lower your financial exposure in the process.  Feel free to call me to discuss details of whatever arrangement will work for you.

Consulting and Assessments:
When scheduling courses, also bear in mind that I am available for consulting work at your spa, in the areas of healing arts, logistics, client relations and staff relations, as well as individual assessments of your massage staff. 

Course Structures:
Please note that the course structures listed below are suggestions, and of course we can discuss any variations of these proposals that work for your spa.

Billing and Other Practical Details:
All Radiant Skin Therapy courses taught by Gerald Harvey, the skin rolling master, will be billed as listed below.  The price includes one co-teacher.  The rate charged by Niles Szwed and Laura Scott for all other classes and consulting work is $125/ hr.  Transportation expenses will be added to the bill.  Transportation costs or ticket in lieu of cash will also need to arrive in a timely manner before the course.  Lodging for the instructor/s should be arranged by the spa/ hotel, or party contracting my/ our services.   Details are negotiable.  Class space, massage tables, oils or lotion, and linens should be provided by the spa.  If you should wish us to set up/ arrange the details of a training, we will adjust the cost of the training accordingly.

Exclusive Engagements:
An exclusive engagement is possible, if you wish to be the sole presenter of my work in your area during the coming year.  For 2007, the exclusive engagement fee will run between $4,000-$7,000 for Caribbean islands, and proportionally more for major cities on the US mainland.  Exclusive arrangements can also be made for hotel/ spa chains.  Details are negotiable. 

Deposits:
Once we agree upon the dates of the upcoming training at your spa, Techtuitive Bodywork Seminars will need a 20% deposit to secure your place in the calendar.  Deposit can be returned up to one month before the beginning of the scheduled Radiant Skin Therapy or Techtuitive Bodywork course.  After that, return of deposit is at the discretion of the instructor, pending the availability of equivalent bookings at other locations during the time slot being cancelled.

Relevant Points Regarding the Proposed Course Structure:
Clinic time is an integral part of any training, as it is crucial to see that students have reasonably well absorbed and mastered the material being taught.  One clinic should suffice for each of the Radiant Skin Therapy courses.  And in the Techtuitive courses, recommended clinic time is listed for varying packages below. 

 *     I highly recommend a separate clinic for the "Couples" class.  The material there is very different from the other classes, since it's about how to teach. The therapists will need to practice their teaching/ communication skills with outside volunteers during this clinic, whereas in the other clinics they can practice on each other. 

 *     Radiant Skin Therapy classes are six hours per day, not counting break time.  Or three-hour half-day classes may be possible.  As for the Techtuitive classes, aside from the "Wrist and Hand", Resistance and Reactivation, and "Hyper-sensitive Cases" classes, which can be taught in a half day (4 hours), all of the other classes are eight hours, not counting break.  Most classes can be taught in a one, two or three-day version, depending on the depth of training in any given subject you want for your staff.  For the purpose of this proposal, I'm using the one-day class model.

 *     Regarding the daily schedule, 9:00 to 4:00 for Radiant Skin Therapy, and 8:30 to 5:30 for Techtuitive Bodywork, with an hour lunch break, should suffice for the full-day classes. 

*     If any of the course structures presented here do not address the needs of your massage staff, then by all means, let's discuss an arrangement that will work at your spa.
